    O que é romance de estrada? Qual a proposta estética, estilística e formal do gênero? E quais foram as transformações por que passou, pela perspectiva da autoria feminina? A fim de responder a esses questionamentos, fez-se uma leitura de alguns road novels de autorias feminina e masculina, de modo a refletir sobre o gênero, e chegou-se a algumas considerações. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os resultados da pesquisa, evidenciando algumas características do gênero que podem ser utilizadas para identificar um road novel e apresentando, também, algumas contestações e apropriações sobre o gênero realizadas pela perspectiva de autoria feminina.

    What is a road novel? What are the aesthetic, stylistic, and formal features of the genre? And how has it transformed from the perspective of female authorship? To answer these questions, we analyzed road novels written by both women and men. The aim of this article is to present the research findings, highlighting the defining characteristics of the road novel as a genre, as well as exploring contestations and appropriations framed from the perspective of female authorship.
