Caries del biberón. Necesidades terapéuticas

    El propósito de este estudio ha sido investigar un patrón de caries en niños preescolares, asociado con una historia de bebidas frecuentes en zumos de fruta o leche azucarada en biberón, dados con frecuencia a la hora de dormir. Las caries rampantes que se producen afectan a todos los incisivos maxilares y primeros molares de forma muy grave, los caninos y segundos molares están menos afectados y los incisivos mandibulares no se afectan nunca.

    Se han determinado las necesidades de tratamiento. Las extracciones, obturaciones, pulpotomías y coronas preformadas, junto con prótesis infantil han sido las medidas terapéuticas empleadas.

    The purpose of the study was to investigate a pattern of caries in preschool children, associated with a history of frequent drinking of fruit juices or sugered milk, into the feeding bottle, often given at bedtime. The rampant caries wich are produced affect all maxillary primary incisors and the first primary molars, the canines and the second primary molars are less afected and the mandibular primary incisors never are afected.

    The treatment needs have been determinated. The extractions, the obturations, pulpotomy and stainless steel crown together with infant denture, this therapeutic ways have been utilized.
