The use of nanoparticles as a controlled release platform is a field of research of great interest. This work optimizes the synthesis of different nanoparticles with quaternary ammonium derivatives obtained by controlling the functionalizationdegree of chitosan. These particles have improved properties, including a greater mucoadhesion to biological tissues. Nanoparticles of 100-300nm are obtained, both empty and loaded with active ingredients using chitosan and its derivatives. In particular, the potential of these nanoparticles in the treatment of eye diseases is analized byinvestigating the encapsulated ectoine release profile.
Nanopartikulen erabilera askapen kontrolatuko plataforma gisa interes handiko ikerketa eremu bat da. Lan honetan kitosanoaren funtzionalizazio gradua kontrolatuz lortutako deribatu amonio kuaternarioekin nanopartikula desberdinen sintesia optimizatzen da. Partikula hauek ezaugarri bereizgarriak dituzte, ehun biologikoetako mukiekiko eranste gaitasun handiagoa besteak beste. 100-300nm-ko nanopartikulak lortzen dira, hutsak zein printzipio aktiboz kargatuak kitosano eta bere deribatuak erabiliz. Bereziki partikula hauek begi gaixotasunen tratamenduetan izan dezaketen potentziala aztertzen da, ektoina aktiboaren askapena ikertuz kasu honetan.
