Loneliness is a subjective experience in perceiving the network of human relationships and although it can appear at any time in the life cycle, older people are more vulnerable. The scientific literature has pointed out the relationshipbetween health problems and loneliness, but there is less knowledge about the relationship between the feeling of loneliness and the health of the elderly, even more so in elderly people living in residential care than in those living in the community. Therefore, a cross-sectional descriptive study has been carried out to find out the relationship between loneliness and physical and psycho-emotional health in people over 60 years of age in the context of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. It isobserved that loneliness is related to functional status, increasing the degree of dependency in older people in the community and in residential care. Feeling lonely was also associated not only with anxiety and depression, but also with a worse perception of quality of life, being more evident in women than in men
Bakardadea giza harremanen sarea hautemateko esperientzia subjektiboa da eta bizi zikloko edozein momentutan agertu daitekeen arren pertsona nagusiak zaurgarriagoak dira. Literatura zientifikoan osa- sun arazoek bakardadearekin duten erlazioa adierazi da baina urriagoa da bakardade sentimenduak na- gusien osasunarekin duenloturari buruzko ezagupena, are gehiago egoitza eremuan bizi diren nagusie- tan komunitatean bizi direnetan baino. Hortaz, 60 urte edo gehiagoko nagusietan bakardadea sentitzeak osasun fisiko zein psiko-emozionalarekin duen harremana ezagutzeko zeharkako azterlan deskribatzailea burutu da Bizkaia eta Gipuzkoako testuinguruan. Bakardadeak egoera funtzionalarekin harremana duela ikusi da, komunitate zein egoitzako nagusietan dependentzia maila areagotuz. Bakarriksentitzea antsietatearekin eta depresioarekin ez ezik, bizi kalitatearen pertzepzio okerragoa izatearekinlotu da, emakumeetan gizonetan baino nabarmenagoa izanik
