    La sentencia objeto de comentario ahonda en la controvertida relación entre la norma de conflicto que determina la ley aplicable a las sucesiones, según el artículo 9.8 del Código Civil y la que establece la ley aplicable a los efectos del matrimonio. Esta cuestión ha generado, un amplio debate y confusión en la práctica jurídica y el Tribunal Supremo apela a su propia doctrina para resol-ver un asunto en el que ambas leyes aparentemente eran distintas.

    The judgment under analysis delves into the complex interplay between the conflict-of-law rule governing the applicable law in matters of succession, as set forth in Article 9.8 of the Civil Code, and the provisions determining the applicable law regarding the legal effects of marriage.
