    El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la participación de la mujer en la Policía Nacional de la provincia de Manabí, Ecuador, periodo 2024. Para el desarrollo metodológico de este estudio, se utilizó el método inductivo, deductivo, analítico y sintético; dichos métodos fueron necesarios para recolectar información respecto al tema en estudio. Se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta, como instrumento se aplicó el cuestionario de preguntas a 100 mujeres que forman parte del personal de la Policía Nacional, a través de Google forms de forma virtual, constaba de una escala de 5 puntos, donde 1 era totalmente en desacuerdo y 5 totalmente de acuerdo. Los resultados arrojaron, que no existe una participación activa de la mujer en la institución debido a su jerarquía. A su vez, se asigna una cantidad relevante de cupos para hombres, razón por la cual las mujeres han sido objeto de discriminación y comentarios sexistas. Resulta oportuno mencionar, la participación de las mujeres en la institución ha sido causa de motivación para que otras mujeres mantengan el interés de ejercer la misma profesión. Se concluye que, que la inclusión de la mujer al desempeñar este rol si se practica, pero existen desafíos que impiden la equidad entre hombres y mujeres.

    The objective of this study was to analyze the participation of women in the National Police of the province of Manabí, Ecuador, for the period 2024. For the methodological development of this study, inductive, deductive, analytical, and synthetic methods were used; these methods were necessary to collect information regarding the topic under study. The survey technique was used as an instrument; a questionnaire was administered to 100 women who are part of the National Police force, via virtual Google Forms. It consisted of a 5-point scale, where 1 was strongly disagree and 5 was strongly agree. The results showed that there is no active participation of women in the institution due to its hierarchy. At the same time, a significant number of places are allocated to men, which is why women have been subjected to discrimination and sexist comments. It is worth mentioning that the participation of women in the institution has motivated other women to maintain an interest in practicing the same profession. It is concluded that the inclusion of women in this role is practiced, but there are challenges that prevent equality between men and women.
