    El empoderamiento es un difícil reto al que se enfrentan las mujeres en Sinaloa, México debido a que se enfrentan a significativas brechas de género y falta de apoyo gubernamental en contextos masculinizados y del que muy poco se ha investigado. Es por ello, que el objeto del presente estudio es analizar el empoderamiento individual de las mujeres en las cooperativas pesqueras, destacando el impacto positivo a nivel colectivo, identificando los desafíos que enfrentan y las oportunidades que permiten fortalecer su participación y liderazgo en la toma de decisiones, para la contribución al desarrollo sostenible en las comunidades pesqueras. Se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo con un alcance descriptivo, enfocando la problemática desde una óptica social empleando la metodología de trabajo social individualizada. Se pudo observar que las mujeres objeto de estudio, poseen buenos niveles de empoderamiento, lo anterior como consecuencia de su resiliencia y capacidad de adaptación a las exigencias y necesidades familiares como laborales, sin embargo, dicho empoderamiento tiene origen en la supervivencia para tener una mejor calidad de vida. Encontrando  dentro de las cooperativas un espacio de apoyo mutuo y sororidad. Por lo anterior, se ve la necesidad de implementar acciones por parte de la sociedad, gobierno y gremio científico, en favor del reconocimiento de las actividades de las mujeres en el ámbito pesquero.

For this reason, the object of this study is to analyze the individual empowerment of women in fishing cooperatives, highlighting the positive impact at a collective level, identifying the challenges they face and the opportunities that allow them to strengthen their participation and leadership in decision-making. decisions, to contribute to sustainable development in fishing communities. The qualitative approach was used with a descriptive scope, focusing on the problem from a social perspective using the individualized social work methodology. It was observed that the women under study have good levels of empowerment, the above because of their resilience and ability to adapt to family and work demands and needs, however, said empowerment has its origin in survival to have a better life. quality of life. Finding within cooperatives a space for mutual support and sisterhood. Due to the above, there is a need to implement actions by society, government and the scientific community, in favor of the recognition of women's activities in the fishing field.
