Resumen de El Tribunal de las Aguas de la Vega de Valencia y la Huerta Valenciana: aspectos referentes a la solución de conflictos

La existencia del Tribunal de las Aguas de la Vega de Valencia se vincula de forma muy estrecha con la Huerta Valenciana. El agua que riega las acequias del margen derecho e izquierdo del río Turia forma parte de este Tribunal milenario que se encarga de dirimir los conflictos en torno a ella. Nos proponemos en este trabajo establecer la conexión del tribunal con un espacio altamente protegido como es la Huerta, y las características que tiene un tribunal consuetudinario para resolver los conflictos que se producen en materia de riego en dicho espacio. La regulación específica de la Huerta así como la ordenación territorial resultan de especial interés para la pervivencia de un tribunal único en el mundo y que ha sido declarado patrimonio inmaterial de la humanidad.

The existence of the Tribunal de las Aguas de la Vega de Valencia is very closely linked to the Huerta Valenciana. The water that irrigates the irrigation ditches on the right and left banks of the Turia River is part of this ancient court that is responsible for settling conflicts around it. In this work, we propose to establish the connection of the court with a highly protected space such as the Orchard, and the characteristics that a customary court has to resolve conflicts that arise regarding irrigation in said space. The specific regulation of the Huerta as well as the territorial planning are of special interest for the survival of a unique court in the world that has been declared intangible heritage of humanity.
