    La configuración de una identidad colectiva de la comunidad gallega marcada por el exilioy la emigración constituye el punto de partida de esta investigación, la cual aspira a indagaren las relaciones entre identidad cultural, memoria y migración a partir del caso de la poetagallega Rosalía de Castro. Para ello, el presente trabajo se centra en algunas vías de construcción de su memoria cultural (Assmann), partiendo del análisis de un corpus de artículosde prensa fechados en el primer tercio del siglo XX. Se examinarán especialmente aquellostextos que refieren a homenajes y conmemoraciones de su muerte y las sucesivas instanciasde escritura que refuerzan dicha conmemoración y coordinan una serie de actos profundamente ritualizados. Nos proponemos, por un lado, analizar los discursos y representaciones alos que su figura es asociada, al tiempo que periodizar las diferentes etapas de la construcciónde su memoria cultural. En virtud de esto, entendemos que la textualización de la muerte deRosalía de Castro constituye un acto político de objetivación de una memoria colectiva quele permite a los gallegos y gallegas emigrados estabilizar determinadas formas de memoria dela poeta y delinear modos de identificación cultural.

    The shaping of a collective identity for the Galician community signed by exile andemigration constitutes the starting point of this short study, which digs into the relationshipsbetween cultural identity, memory and migration for the Galician poet Rosalía de Castro.Starting from the analysis of a group of articles dated in the first third of the 20th century,our work focuses on some of the ways in which her cultural memory (Assmann) is build. Textsthat refer to tributes and commemorations of her death, understood as of writing instanceswhich reinforce the commemoration and coordinate deeply ritualized acts, will be especiallyexamined. We aim to analyze, on the one hand, the discourses and representations to whichher figure was associated to, while periodizing the different stages of the construction of hercultural memory. In this regard, we understand that textualizing Rosalía de Castro’s deathconstitutes a political act of objectifying a collective memory that allows Galician emigrantsto stabilize certain forms of memory for the poet and create forms of cultural identification.
