    La Tapada era una finca de Teodosio II, duque de Braganza y Avís, miembro de la más rancia nobleza portuguesa, contigua a su palacio, ubicado en Villaviciosa, en el centro este dePortugal.Lope escribe el poema en octavas reales Descripción de La Tapada. Insigne monte y recreacióndel excelentísimo señor Duque de Berganza que publica en su libro La Filomena (1621). En laestructura bipartita subyacente en el armado del texto se distingue: una parte descriptiva yotra narrativa. En ambas, se realiza una importante referencia a los elementos mitológicoscuya funcionalidad nos proponemos analizar.

    The Tapada was an estate of Theodosius II, Duke of Braganza and Avis, member of the mostrancid Portuguese nobility, adjacent to the ducal palace, located in Villaviciosa, in the centereast of Portugal.Lope writes the poem in real octaves Description of La Tapada. Distinguished mountain andrecreation of the most excellent Duke of Berganza that he publishes in his book La Filomena(1621). In the bipartite structure underlying the assembly of the text is distinguished: a descriptive part and a narrative part. In both, an important reference is made to themythological elements whose functionality we intend to analyze.
