En esta ponencia se hace un recorrido por los diferentes tipos antiguos y modernos de la forma de representación del espacio, es decir por diferentes perspectivas. De esta manera se relieva el hecho de que la perspectiva lineal, clásica o angular es solamente un tipo y por ninguna razón la única o verdadera. Con este antecedente entonces se plantea la necesidad de plantearse al interior de las cátedras de arte, pero también en general en todos los currículos educativos, especialmente de los niveles primario y secundario, la necesidad de incorporar otras perspectivas, para descanonizar la perspectiva lineal, para descanonizar una forma de representación que conlleva elementos ideológicos, culturales y artísticos predominantemente occidentales
