    Constatando la violencia mexicana reciente y sus antecedentes en el siglo XX, se exploran sus dimensiones política, económica y moral que están tanto en el origen como en la base de una sociedad estructuralmente anómica. De ahí se concluye que la llamada civilización es un modo de la barbarie: un orden hipócrita donde se viola la Ley escrita para hacer valer la oculta. Al final se propone un antídoto: la violencia pura y gratuita, una subversión más que material simbólica, que al interrumpir el derecho en tanto que coacción le quita sustento a toda violencia autoritaria.

    Noting the recent Mexican violence and tracing back its precedents to the XXth century, this article explores its political, economic and moral dimensions, which are found to be at the origins as well as at the basis of a structurally anomic society. It is then concluded that the socalled civilization is a mode of barbarism: a hypocrite order where the written Law is violated for the validation of a hidden one. Towards the end an antidote is propounded: the pure and gratuitous violence, a symbolic rather than material subversion that by interrupting the law, this being coercion, takes away the foundation of every authoritarian violence.
