The article reveals that male intermediation between converso women and religious texts was a common practice during the 15th and 16th centuries, as had happened in all Jewish communities, which served to perpetuate gender differences among them.
At the same time a prejudice against women was established, because they were accused of preserving Judaism, thus showing that there were different attitudes toward Christianity among both men and women.
