    El propósito del texto es comprender a través del pensamiento de Gayatri Spivak y Silvia Rivera las maneras bajo las cuales la modernidad capitalista e imperial estructura y despliega su hegemonía, además de vislumbrar las resistencias y rupturas en torno a ella. Para la indagación del pensamiento de las autoras se ha recurrido a una lectura de carácter interpretativo, no se fuerza a ambos pensamientos, es decir, no se les hace decir algo que no sugieren. Asimismo, los pensamientos son retomados ahí en donde hacen hincapié respecto a la necesidad de ruptura hacia el proyecto cultural-civilizatorio de la modernidad, éste es una máquina de exclusión que debe ser criticada y destruida. Por otro lado, con la indagación del pensamiento de Spivak y Rivera se puede decir que la crítica en general y al proyecto moderno en particular siguen siendo vigentes para el pensamiento y la praxis, sin crítica se avalan las dominaciones y sin resistencia se permite que la hegemonía decida absolutamente.

    The purpose of the text is to understand through the thought of Gayatri Spivak and Silvia Rivera the ways in which capitalist and imperial modernity structures and displays its hegemony, as well as glimpse the resistances and ruptures around it. For the investigation of the thoughts of the authors, an interpretative reading has been used, both thoughts are not forced, that is, they are not made to say something that they do not suggest. Likewise, the thoughts are taken up again where they emphasize the need to break with the cultural-civilizing project of modernity, this is an exclusion machine that must be criticized and destroyed. On the other hand, with the investigation of the thought of Spivak and Rivera, it can be said that criticism in general and of the modern project in particular continue to be valid for thought and praxis, without criticism dominations are endorsed and without resistance, the hegemony decides absolutely.
