    Abstract Although the Freudian theory contains subversive theoretical instruments - such as the notion of perverse-polymorphism - usable in criticisms of essentialization of the heterosexual matrix conceptualized by Butler (1990), Freud would have contradicted, in other cases, a certain subversiveness of some of these instruments, reiterating normativities that constitute this matrix. In this article, we turn to the analysis of the most important Freudian work on sexuality, the Three essays (1905), discussing in detail certain statements by Freud in order to reveal implicit normative schemes constituted in the - not problematized - way as the author constructed those statements.

    Resumo Neste artigo, analisamos Três ensaios sobre a teoria da sexualidade e discutimos certos enunciados de Freud (1905), a fim de evidenciar os esquemas normativos implícitos constituídos no modo como o autor os construiu. Embora a teoria freudiana contenha instrumentos teóricos subversivos, a exemplo da noção de perverso-polimorfismo, utilizáveis em críticas à essencialização da matriz heterossexual conceituada por Butler (1990), Freud teria contrariado, em outros casos, certa subversividade de alguns desses instrumentos, reiterando normatizações constitutivas dessa matriz.
