Este trabajo se centra en el problema de la condición de autor en la literatura testimonial desde el punto de vista de la teoría literaria. Se argumenta que, en el testimonio histórico, el escritor es al mismo tiempo un superviviente, en otras palabras, hay un triple rol de autor, testigo y víctima indistinguibles entre sí. En consecuencia, la legitimidad autorial en esta literatura está dada por aspectos extratextuales de la relación de los autores con los hechos acerca de los que pretenden dar cuenta.

This paper focuses on the problem of authorship in testimonial literature from the perspective of literary theory. It is argued that, in historical testimony, the writer is simultaneously a survivor, in other words, there is a triple role of author, witness, and victim, indistinguishable from one another. Consequently, authorial legitimacy in this literature is determined by extratextual aspects of the authors' relationship to the events they purport to report.
