Resumen de Sectores manufactureros motores de la economía catalana

  Las cifras de producción y ocupación sitúan al sector industrial en una posición estratégica dentro de la estructura económica catalana, es por ello, que la comunicación intenta dar respuesta a la siguiente cuestión: ¿las actividades manufactureras consideradas más competitivas actúan como motores de crecimiento económico? En este ámbito, el primer objetivo de nuestro estudio es analizar la competitividad de los sectores industriales de Cataluña en relación a los dos mercados de destino siguientes, el resto de España y el extranjero. Con la finalidad de detectar cuáles son las manufacturas que muestran una mejor posición competitiva en la estructura industrial catalana. El segundo objetivo es el estudio de los linkages o encadenamientos de los sectores industriales. Este análisis permitirá identificar cuáles son actualmente las actividades industriales clave de la economía catalana y detectar su capacidad de arrastre hacia el resto de ramas de actividad. De este modo, podremos detectar si las industrias más competitivas son también las que tienen mayor capacidad para fomentar el desarrollo de la economía catalana, actuando como motores de crecimiento o si por el contrario estas generan pocos efectos expansivos en el ámbito económico.

  The figures of production and occupation situate the industry sector in a strategic position in the Catalan economic structure. Due to this, the communication tries to give answer to the following question: do the more competitive manufacturing activities act as driving forces of the economical growth? The first goal of our study is to analyze the competitiveness of the industry sectors of Catalonia in relation to the two following markets of destination, the rest of Spain and the foreign. The aim is detect which are the manufactures that show a better competitive position in the Catalan industrial structure. The second goal is analyze the linkages of the industry sectors in order to identify the key sectors of the Catalan economy and to detect their capacity of dragging towards the rest of branches of activity. This way, we will be able to detect whether the most competitive industries are also the ones that have greater capacity for encouraging the development of the Catalan economy, acting as engines of growth or if on the contrary these generate few expansive effects in the economic area.
