Resumen de Recursos humanos y recursos materiales del sistema sanitario: Dotación y utilización

  El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la posible desigualdad entre la dotación hospitalaria de recursos (humanos y materiales) y su utilización, con la finalidad de detectar las posibles diferencias en calidad asistencial de las distintas Comunidades Autónomas. Siguiendo a Vuori (1991), un componente importante de la calidad en la asistencia médica es el grado de accesibilidad de los pacientes a los servicios sanitarios. Una distribución desigual de los recursos sanitarios, no tiene porque significar, necesariamente, una utilización desigual de los mismos. Sin embargo, pone de manifiesto, aunque sea de forma indirecta, que el coste de oportunidad en el acceso al sistema sanitario es bien diferente, lo que implicaría una calidad asistencial también diferente.

  The aim of this work it is to analyze the possible inequality between the hospitable resources endowment (human beings and materials) and its utilization, with the purpose of detecting the possible differences in welfare quality of the different Autonomous Communities. Following Vuori (1991), an important component of the quality in the medical assistance is the grade of accessibility of the patients to the sanitary services. An unequal distribution of the sanitary resources, does not have to mean, necessarily, an unequal utilization of the same ones. Nevertheless, it reveals, though it is of an indirect form, that the opportunity cost in the access to the sanitary system is really different, what would imply a welfare quality different too.
