The Rural Agenda for Catalonia: a tool for the revitalisation of the territory

  • The Rural Agenda for Cataloniawas born in 2020 from the challenges faced by rural areas in Catalonia. The initiative came from the Government of Catalonia but its drafting was entrusted to several institutions. It was conceived as a tool to ensure a sustainable future for rural territories. Based on an extensive participation process, a document was drafted with 892 actions organised into seven major challenges. To ensure its implementation, a governance model has been established based on three key committees that coordinate and collaborate with each other.
