Resumen de Alfredo Gómez Morel: la vita flumen de un escritor al borde

  El presente artículo tiene por objetivo visibilizar la novela chilena El río (1962)del escritor y delincuente chileno Alfredo Gómez Morel (1917-1984), texto que resulta enigmático debido al éxito editorial que tuvo en la década de los sesenta pese a tratar temáticas sórdidas a través de un lenguaje visceral y sin concesiones. En estas páginas daremos cuenta, alrededor del “realismo feo”, de la manera en que el narrador (alter ego de Gómez Morel) despliega la repugnancia, lo abyecto y miserable del entorno que sostiene una concepción estética, y, por lo tanto, política (Rancière, 2011), disidente, llena de matices y escalas de grises. El río, en cuanto sistema en permanente movimiento, es un lugar que contrasta con espacios del vecindario donde sí es posible abordar la falta de oportunidades para enfrentar de otro modo el porvenir; sin embargo, el “mundo del río” es un espacio seductor, cuyas normas, leyes y códigos propios lo revisten como un lugar de borde, marginal, miserable y rebelde desde donde se puede resistir el poder centrípeto.

  The objective of this article is to make visible the Chilean novel El río(1962) by the Chilean writer and criminal Alfredo Gómez Morel (1917-1984), a text that is enigmatic due to its publishing success in the 1960s despite dealing with sordid themes through visceral language and without concessions. In these pages we will give an account,around the "ugly realism", of the way in which the narrator (Gómez Morel's alter ego) displays the disgust, the abject and miserable of the environment that supports an aesthetic conception, and, therefore, political (Rancière, 2011), dissident, full of nuances and gray scales. The river, as a system in permanent movement, is a place that contrasts with neighborhood spaces where it is possible to address the lack of opportunities to face the future in a different way; However, the "world of the river" is aseductive space, whose own norms, laws and codes dress it as a borderline, marginal, miserable and rebellious place from where centripetal power can be resisted
