  Este artigo analiza o impacto no Rexurdimento da queda da I República. O esfarelamento do republicanismo trouxo consigo tres importantes consecuencias no escenario político: o regreso da monarquía, a configuración de España como unha nación única e a aparición do rexionalismo. Todo isto afectará na concepción do valor das linguas como elementos identitarios e, sobre todo, ao discurso político-cultural pois o idioma pasa a ser o elemento central do debate identitario.

  !is article analyses the impact of the fall of the I Republic on the Rexurdimento. !e collapse of republicanism brought with it three important consequences on the political scene: the return of the monarchy, the configuration of Spain as a single nation and the emergence of regionalism. All of this will affect the conception of languages as identity elements and, above all, the political-cultural discourse as language becomes the central element of the identity debate.
