Manifestaciones afectivas e identidad de género en transexuales peruanos

    Los transexuales en el Perú son afectados por el estigma, la discriminación y la violencia social. Es necesario que se reconozca el derecho a la identidad de género, para reducir el estigma interno y externo, que afecta la salud mental. El objetivo de este artículo es describir e interpretar los indicadores y simbolismos de las manifestaciones afectivas e identidad de género de16 transexuales, quienes fueron evaluados con dos test proyectivos. Se utilizó la técnica de revisión documental y el análisis de contenido para la interpretación de los datos.  Entre las respuestas destacan variedad de contenidos como “esqueleto”, “lobo”, “mono”, “iguana” que reflejan vivencias afectivas displacenteras y muy peculiares (test de Rorschach). Asimismo, todos se identifican con el rol de género que no coincide con el sexo asignado al nacer (test persona bajo la lluvia). Estas respuestas indican ansiedad e inseguridad frente a situaciones frustrantes, timidez y falta de confianza en sí mismo, asociado a tendencias agresivas ante fracasos y conflictos internos de rol no resueltos, así como, dificultades en su interacción social, por rechazo a la imagen corporal e identidad de género trans.

    Transsexuals in Peru are affected by stigma, discrimination and social violence. It is necessary that the right to gender identity be recognized, to reduce the internal and external stigma that affects mental health. The objective of this article is to describe and interpret the indicators and symbolisms of the affective manifestations and gender identity of 16 transsexuals, who were evaluated with two projective tests. The documentary review technique and content analysis were used for the interpretation of the data. Among the answers are a variety of contents such as "skeleton", "wolf", "monkey", "iguana" that reflect unpleasant and very peculiar affective experiences (Rorschach test). Likewise, they all identify with the gender role that does not coincide with the sex assigned at birth (person in the rain test). These responses indicate anxiety and insecurity in the face of frustrating situations, shyness and lack of self-confidence, associated with aggressive tendencies in the face of failures and unresolved internal role conflicts, as well as difficulties in their social interaction, due to rejection of body image and trans gender identity.
