De lo humano a lo poshumano: poshumanismo como aproximación literaria a las inquietudes del presente. Una breve introducción teórica

    La crítica literaria y sus diversas escuelas han respondido a las inquietudes, necesidades, y tendencias culturales, políticas y sociales de las sociedades en las que han sido concebidas. Así, el Poshumanismo surge a finales del siglo pasado como respuesta a las inquietudes que suponían las visiones puramente humanistas, debido a su consecuente antropocentrismo y androcentrismo imperante. Estas visiones que han constituido las sociedades de Occidente se han configurado sobre los pilares conceptuales del dualismo antropológico, que pone de manifiesto las dinámicas de otredad o alteridad, a partir de las cuales, el mundo se configura por oposición entre lo uno y lo otro, siendo siempre el primero, superior, y el segundo, subordinado. Es por ello por lo que una (re)lectura poshumana busca cuestionar la tradicional concepción humanista y su localización del ser humano masculino como eje, así como las relaciones entre lo uno y lo otro, lo humano y lo no- humano/más-que-humano. Todo ello, a través de la revisión y análisis de obras literarias tanto canónicas como marginales dentro del polisistema literario. Finalmente, cabe cuestionar si el poshumanismo supone la evolución teórica contemporánea lógica del Humanismo, o si sus propuestas requieren la superación absoluta de los antiguos modelos hegemónicos.

    Literary criticism and its diverse schools have responded to the concerns, needs and to the cultural, political and social tendencies of those societies they have originated within. Thus, Posthumanism appears at the end of the 20th century as a response to the concerns that purely humanist conceptions had been promoting, due to their consequent and prevailing anthropocentrism and androcentrism. These visions that have built western societies, have been configured upon the pillars of anthropological dualism, which highlight the dynamics of otherness that construct the world upon oppositions between One and (an)Other; being the former always superior, and the latter, subordinated. That is why posthuman re-readings aim to question traditional humanist conceptions and their consequent localization of the male human as its axis, as well as the relationship between the one and the other, the human and the non-human/more-than-human. This is implemented through the revision and analysis of both canonical and marginal works of literature within the literary polysystem.

    Finally, it should be questioned whether Posthumanism accounts for the logical contemporary evolution of Humanism, or if its proposals require the complete overcoming of old hegemonic models.
