With the aim of promoting ecological value, this study provides the first evaluation of biometric characteristics and allometric growth of the marine gastropod Phorcus lineatus from the Moroccan Atlantic coast. A total of 780 individuals were sampled monthly from the intertidal zones of Haouzia (H) and Jorf-Lasfar (J) between January 2019 and January 2020. The evaluation of allometric growth was based on morphometric relationships established between various linear and ponderal variables. The measured parameters included total weight (TW), meat weight (MW), shell weight (SWg), shell length (SL) and shell width (SW). The length of the long axis of the shell aperture (AL) was also measured. The data obtained indicate that the relative growth of P. lineatus follows a negatively allometric pattern, with shell length growing faster than the other morphometric parameters. Correlation coefficients between the different parameters were high, with r=0.947–0.978 for gastropods from H site and r=0.974–0.988 for those from J site. Comparison of the allometric coefficient between P. lineatus specimens from the two sites shows the same growth trend for most morphometric relationships. On the other hand, a significant difference was noted for the SL-SW relationship, with specimens from J site showing faster growth
