    ¿Dónde ubicar el texto lascasiano, específicamente si Historia de las Indias? En otras palabras, ¿desde dónde habla ese sujeto que en tercera persona aparece allí, con el dedo acusador, desgranando una por una las versiones de la Conquista que no se avienen con su imagen ideal de evangelización? A fin de cuentas nos encontramos frente a un monumento verbal erigido para tumbar otros ídolos de tinta, que a su vez se disputan el privilegio de representar lo ocurrido en Las Indias o instaurar un código jurídico acorde con la empresa imperial.

    Where to locate the Lascasian text, specifically if History of the Indies? In other words, where is that subject speaking from who appears there in the third person, with an accusing finger, reeling off one by one the versions of the Conquest that do not agree with his ideal image of evangelization? After all, we find ourselves facing a verbal monument erected to topple other ink idols, which in turn dispute the privilege of representing what happened in Las Indias or establishing a legal code in accordance with the imperial enterprise.
