O ensino na comarca de Deza no século XVIII

    No presente traballo apórtanse datos sobre a actividade educativa na Comarca de Deza ao longo do século XVIII, especialmente referidos á súa segunda metade, na que as fontes utilizadas reportan un maior número de casos.

    Esta historia educativa presenta dúas dinámicas ben diferenciadas: a infraestrutura de escolas e mestres, coa súa mobilidade, na propia comarca dezá; e a comunidade estudantil que se desprazaba a Santiago a tomar os seus estudos medios e superiores. Nesta segunda, a análise centrarase na natureza dos estudantes e dos estudos que os dezáns realizaban na universidade e naqueles conventos que acollían algúns estudos de bacharelato e superiores. Ambas propostas teñen unha importancia complementaria e, ao tempo, dan lugar a un factor de retorno formativo que non debe ser obviado, pero que non ocupará este artigo. Encamíñase a proposta a esbozar o mapa educativo da comarca nun traballo inicial que pretende evidenciar a importancia dalgunhas fontes históricas e subliñar a intensa actividade docente e estudantil existente nesta parte do interior galego.

    In the present work, data about the educational activity in the Deza region throughout the 18th century will be provided, particularly referring to the second half of the century, where the sources used report a greater number of cases. This educational history presents two well-differentiated dynamics: the infrastructure of schools and teachers, with their mobility, within the Deza region itself; and the student community that moved to Santiago to pursue their intermediate and higher education. In the latter, the analysis will focus on the nature of the students and the studies people from Deza carried out at the university and in those convents that hosted some baccalaureate and higher studies. Both approaches have a complementary importance and, at the same time, lead to a formative return factor that should not be overlooked but it will not be covered in this article. The proposal aims to outline the educational map of the region in an initial work that seeks to highlight the importance of certain historical sources and underline the intense teaching and student activity existing in this part of the Galician interior.
