    • Objectives: In the context of green development, the addition of recycled concrete materials has gradually contributed to the effective treatment of domestic construction waste. However, issues related to waste and pollution caused by non-recycling still persist. To improve the level of green development in the construction industry and address the issues involving waste and pollution, the bonding properties between corroded steel and recycled concrete under varying degrees of corrosion were studied.

Materials and methods: Steel bars with varying degrees of corrosion (0%, 1%, 2%, and 4%) were prepared, and their bonding properties with recycled concrete were compared, and the inuence of corrosion on the bonding properties was then analyzed.

Results and discussion: e results show that: (1) as the degree of corrosion increases, the peak value of average bond stress initially increases and then decreases under the condition that the replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate remains constant; (2) When the replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate changes, the peak value of average bond stress also increases initially and then decreases as the degree of steel corrosion increases; (3) Under a given replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate, the average curves of recycled concrete at different corrosion levels closely match the calculated curves, demonstrating a good t.

Conclusions: Increasing the degree of steel corrosion initially improves the bond performance of recycled concrete, but this effect does not continue as the corrosion degree further increases.
