  El retablo de San Miguel, situado en el lado de la epístola de la iglesia parroquial de Santa María la Mayor de Castejón de Valdejasa (Zaragoza), es un interesante mueble barroco que fue restaurado entre 2018 y 2022. Se encuentra presidido por una pintura de notable calidad que representa al arcángel siguiendo de forma prácticamente literal el original creado por el pintor boloñés Guido Reni (1575-1642) para la iglesia de los capuchinos de Roma, obra que fue ampliamente difundida a través de grabados y copias durante el siglo XVII por todo el orbe cristiano. En este artículo llevamos a cabo el análisis histórico-artístico de este mueble y del lienzo titular.

  The altarpiece of San Miguel, located on the epistle side of the parish church of Santa María la Mayor in Castejón de Valdejasa (Zaragoza), is an interesting Baroque piece of furniture that was restored between 2018 and 2022. It is presided over by a painting of remarkable quality that represents the archangel following almost literally the original created by the Bolognese painter Guido Reni (1575-1642) for the church of the Capuchins in Rome, a work widely disseminated through engravings and copies throughout the Christian world during the 17th century. In this article we carry out an artistic-historical analysis of this piece of furniture and the canvas it houses.
