    Entre los meses de septiembre y octubre de 1862 Isabel II, reina de España, realiza un viaje por Andalucía y Murcia. Este corresponde a un programa de acercamiento entre la Monarquía y el pueblo que se llevará a cabo entre 1858 y 1866, en un periodo de baja popularidad de la monarca. A Cádiz llegó el 26 de septiembre y se marchó el 3 de octubre. Durante su estancia, y entre otras muchas actividades, asistió a un despesque en una salina en Puerto Real y visitó la Villa el día de su marcha. En este artículo analizamos los preparativos que se realizaron para atender a la reina, la repercusión que tuvo su presencia y, especialmente, el costo que supuso atender a la familia real.

    Between the months of September and October 1862 Isabel II, Queen of Spain, made a trip to Andalusia and Murcia. This corresponds to a program of approach between the Monarchy and the People which will take place between 1858 and 1866, in a period of low popularity of the monarch. She arrived in Cadiz on September 26th and left on October 3rd. During her stay, and among many other activities, she attended a fish harvesting in a salt flat in Puerto Real and visited the town on the day of her departure. In this article we analyze the preparations that were carried out to attend to the queen, the impact that her presence had and, especially, the cost of attending to the royal family.
