Homofobia, prejuicios y vínculos con el deporte y la educación: revisión documental

    El propósito de esta revisión fue identificar y sintetizar la literatura más importante sobre la relación que tiene la homofobia con el deporte, la educación, la discriminación y/o exclusión y la salud mental y/o corporal. Para ello, se usó la metodología PRISMA permitiendo de esta manera, la identificación, selección, evaluación y síntesis de los documentos encontrados en las bases de datos para el idioma inglés: Science Direct, Taylor & Francis Online, Web of Science y PubMed y en español se indago en Scielo y Dialnet. Para la realización de la búsqueda de documentos se emplearon los términos Tesauro de la Unesco para español y MesH para el inglés correspondientemente. De esta forma, la revisión final se elaboró con base en 73 documentos quienes cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión por temporalidad, eliminación por duplicidad y estrecha relación con la temática objeto de estudio. A partir de esto, se reafirma como la homofobia y el deporte guardan estrecha relación en la mayoría de los estudios analizados, y de esta identificación se derivan abordajes conceptuales a través de las categorías de estudio relacionadas con la educación. Esta revisión documental deja abierta la invitación a realizar muchas más investigaciones relacionadas con esta problemática de una manera más cercana a la comunidad LGBTIQ+, dado que, es necesario enfatizar procesos de sensibilización de toda la macroestructura deportiva, sobre temas relacionados con la orientación sexual, buscando con ello, sembrar actitudes inclusivas desde el deporte, la educación deportiva y la relación social que en él se establece.

    The purpose of this review was to identify and synthesize the most important literature on the relationship between homophobia and sport, education, discrimination and/or exclusion and mental and/or physical health. For this purpose, the PRISMA methodology was used to identify, select, evaluate and synthesize the documents found in the following databases for English: Science Direct, Taylor & Francis Online, Web of Science and PubMed, and in Spanish, Scielo and Dialnet. The Unesco Thesaurus for Spanish and MesH for English were used to search for documents. Thus, the final review was based on 73 documents that met the criteria of inclusion due to temporality, elimination due to duplication and close relation with the subject matter under study. From this, it is reaffirmed how homophobia and sport are closely related in most of the studies analyzed, and from this identification conceptual approaches are derived through the study categories related to education. This documentary review leaves open the invitation to carry out many more investigations related to this problem in a closer way to the LGBTIQ+ community, given that it is necessary to emphasize processes of sensitization of the entire sports macro-structure, on issues related to sexual orientation, thus seeking to sow inclusive attitudes from sport, sports education and the social relationship that is established in it.
