This article describes the implementation of a hybrid methodology between the RCM and the PMBOK for the Maintenance Management of critical biomedical equipment in IPS of medium complexity, which is comprised of four phases: a descriptive diagnosis of Maintenance Management in IPS; the characterization of regulations, variables, processes and related indicators; the design of the hybrid methodological guide and the pre-validation by experts for the subsequent application in IPS of the case study; finally a comparative analysis of the results and final validation by experts, where these were evaluated under current regulations such as ( [1], [2], [3]). The hybrid methodology RCM-PMBOK in which it is made up of five main stages where they focus on the main aspects that are to ensure that the IPS present a quality service from the approach of the operation of the bio-medical equipment and also strengthen the maintenance management systems from the perspective of the project structure, this methodology allows bringing together the plan-execute-measure-act cycle, anticipate failures and project management.
