    El propósito de esta investigación es proporcionar un estado actualizado de las publicaciones sobre innovación en bibliotecología, utilizando la base de datos SCOPUS como principal fuente de información. La metodología adoptada es cuantitativa con un enfoque descriptivo, analizando documentos publicados entre 2004 y 2023 que mencionen términos clave relacionados con la innovación y bibliotecología. Entre los principales hallazgos, se destaca la diversidad en el impacto de las revistas, medida por el índice SJR, lo cual indica variaciones significativas en calidad y prestigio. Asimismo, se identificaron tendencias en la investigación, como la integración de tecnologías emergentes (inteligencia artificial y realidad aumentada) y la adopción de nuevos modelos de gestión y servicios personalizados. Las conclusiones señalan que la cooperación internacional en la investigación bibliotecológica es crucial, ya que permite el intercambio de ideas y mejores prácticas, enriqueciendo así la calidad y el impacto de las investigaciones. Además, se resalta que las bibliotecas que adoptan enfoques innovadores no solo optimizan sus operaciones, sino que también refuerzan su relevancia como centros de aprendizaje, información y cultura. Se sugiere que futuras investigaciones se centren en explorar nuevas formas de integrar tecnologías emergentes en la gestión y servicios bibliotecarios.

    The aim of this research is to provide an updated status of publications on innovation in librarianship, using the SCOPUS database as the main source of information. The methodology adopted is quantitative with a descriptive approach, analyzing documents published between 2004 and 2023 that mention key terms related to innovation and librarianship. Among the main findings, the diversity in journal impact, measured by the SJR index, stands out, indicating significant variations in quality and prestige. Research trends were also identified, such as the integration of emerging technologies (artificial intelligence and augmented reality) and the adoption of new management models and personalized services. The conclusions point out that international cooperation in library research is crucial, as it allows for the exchange of ideas and best practices, thus enriching the quality and impact of research. Furthermore, it is highlighted that libraries that adopt innovative approaches not only optimize their operations, but also reinforce their relevance as centers of learning, information and culture. It is suggested that future research should focus on exploring new ways of integrating emerging technologies into library management and services.
