    El presente artículo expone de forma sistemática y analiza las implicaciones regulatorias y fiscales del nuevo régimen de los fondos de inversión europeos a largo plazo tras la reforma de su régimen llevada a cabo por el Reglamento (UE) 2023/606 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo de 15 de marzo de 2023.

    La Comisión Europea ha tratado con esta reforma de convertir a los ELTIFs en mucho más que un vehículo de inversión colectiva; en un instrumento comunitario capaz de captar y canalizar capital hacia inversiones europeas a largo plazo en la economía real y promover el objetivo de la Unión de un crecimiento inteligente, sostenible e integrador.

    This article systematically sets out and analyses the regulatory and fiscal implications of the new regime for European long-term investment funds following the reform of their regime carried out by Regulation (EU) 2023/606 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2023.

    With this reform, the European Commission has sought to turn ELTIFs into much more than a collective investment vehicle; into a community instrument capable of attracting and channelling capital towards long-term European investments in the real economy and promoting the Union’s objective of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
