    Con el presente texto se pretende recuperar la figura de Eustaquio Marín Ramos (Sanlúcar la Mayor, 1873 – San Sebastián, 1948), pintor parcialmente borrado de la memoria de la pintura sevillana. El artista, activo desde los últimos años del siglo XIX hasta su muerte, destacó en el panorama artístico con un estilo de fuertes cargas expresionistas y postimpresionistas que le catapultó a la fama, pero también al fracaso. En este artículo se recogen las primeras noticias acerca de la vida, los contactos y la evolución del lenguaje estético de Marín Ramos, representadas a partir del análisis de cinco dibujos firmados e inéditos.

    This text aims to recover the figure of Eustaquio Marín Ramos (Sanlúcar la Mayor, 1873 – San Sebastián, 1948), a painter partially erased from the memory of Sevillian painting. The artist, active from the last years of the nineteenth century until his death, stood out in the artistic scene with a style of strong expressionist and post-impressionist characteristics that catapulted him to fame, but also to failure. This article contains the first news about the life, the contacts and the evolution of the aesthetic language of Marín Ramos, with the analysis of five signed and unpublished drawings.
