Resumen de Mapa de cobertes i usos de sòl de Menorca. 3ra generació - COBUS 2015

  Sobre fotografies aèries de l’any 2015 s’ha realitzat un nou mapa de detall de les cobertes i els usos de sòl de Menorca seguint la metodologia proposada pel programa europeu CORINE Land Cover. La escala de treball ha estat adaptada a la mida de l’illa (1:5.000) i també s’ha desenvolupat un quart nivell de llegenda per atendre les especificitats menorquines. Juntament amb els dos mapes precedents dels anys 2002 i 2007 podem analitzar de forma molt precisa l’evolució de l’ocupació del territori tant pel que fa a usos humans com naturals. En quant als resultats, el primer període 2002-2007 es caracteritza per una gran activitat econòmica, que queda reflectida sobre el territori amb un creixement important tant dels nuclis urbans tradicionals i com dels nuclis turístics. En el segon període 2007-2015 s’alenteix considerablement aquest creixement, en sintonia amb la resta de l’estat i la crisi econòmica internacional. De fet el ritme d’increment anual de la superfície artificial passa de 1’8% en el primer període a un 0,6% en el segon.

  On aerial photographs of the year 2015 a new detailed map of the land cover and land use of Menorca has been carried out following the methodology proposed by the European CORINE Land Cover program. The map scale has been adapted to the size of the island (1: 5,000) and a fourth level of classification has also been developed to meet the specificities of Menorca. Together with the two preceding maps of the years 2002 and 2007, it allows to analyse very accurately the evolution of the occupation of the territory in terms of human and natural uses. Regarding the results, the first period 2002-2007 is characterized by a large economic activity, which is reflected on the territory with significant growth in traditional and touristic urban areas. In the second period 2007-2015, this growth slows considerably, as in the rest of the state for the international economic crisis. In fact, the annual increase rate of the artificial surface goes from 1.8% in the first period to 0.6% in the second.
