Resumen de Avaluació del trànsit d’embarcacions a la zona d’es Freus, dins l’àmbit del parc natural de ses Salines d’Eivissa i Formentera (Illes Balears)

  Amb el topònim Es Freus s'anomena l'espai comprès entre les illes d'Eivissa i Formentera i correspon amb la zona central de l'àmbit marí protegit del parc Natural de ses Salines d'Eivissa i Formentera. Des de sempre ha sigut una zona de trànsit marítim però on els darrers anys s'ha incrementat notablement durant la temporada turística. Per primera vegada s'ha quantificat la intensitat d'aquest trànsit, eminentment recreatiu, durant els mesos d'estiu de 2017 i 2018 a aquesta estreta franja marina de només 4 km de llargada. Per açò hem detallat el tipus d'embarcació, l'hora i el sentit de navegació de cadascun dels transits diaris entre les 06.00 i les 21.00 hores. Durant els mesos d'estiu (juny-setembre) s'han comptabilitzat entre 1.686 i 2.494 trànsits diaris. Valors d'un ordre de magnitud superior als que es registren la resta de l'any, com l'octubre de 2018 amb només 199 trànsits/dia. La pressió sobre el medi natural d'aquest volum d'embarcacions tan elevat a les Pitiüses s'ha centrat només en aspectes parcials com els danys dels fondejos sobre les praderies de posidònia. En aquest treball a partir de la quantificació del trànsit d'embarcacions avaluem altres possibles impactes com la contaminació acústica o la contaminació per hidrocarburs. El consum de combustible en aquesta franja de només 4 km de llargada s'estima en unes 50 – 100 Tm combustible/dia durant els mesos d'estiu.

  With the name Es Freus, it is called the area between the islands of Eivissa and Formentera and corresponds to the central area of the marine area protected from the Ses Salines Natural Park of Eivissa and Formentera. It has always been a maritime traffic area but in recent years it has increased markedly during the tourist season. For the first time, the intensity of this traffic, especially recreational, has been quantified during the summer months of 2017 and 2018 in this narrow strip of water just 4 km long. For this we have detailed the type of boat, time and direction of navigation of each of the daily journeys between 06:00 and 21:00. During the summer months (June-September) 1,686 and 2,494 daily traffic were recorded. Values of an order of magnitude higher than those recorded the rest of the year, as in October 2018 with only 199 transits per day. The pressure on the natural environment of this volume of vessels so high in the Pitiuses has been focused only on partial aspects such as the damages of anchorages on the prairies of Posidonia. In this work based on the quantification of boat traffic, we evaluate other possible impacts such as noise pollution or pollution by hydrocarbons. The fuel consumption in this strip of only 4 km in length is estimated at around 50 - 100 Tm / day during the summer months.
