Resumen de BioBal (REE-UIB): Un projecte interdisciplinari per a donar a conèixer laBiodiversitat de les Illes Balears amb una triple vessant científica-gestió, educativa i d’impuls del turisme de natura

  L’any 2016 la Universitat de les Illes Balears i Red Eléctrica de España varen signar un conveni de col·laboració amb la finalitat de generar un portal web sobre la Biodiversitat de les Illes Balears. Tot i que inicialment el principal objectiu era generar una eina per a desenvolupar el turisme de natura, amb el pas del temps el projecte va reconduir-se i els objectius s’ampliaren en tres grans eixos o línies d’acció: una línia educativa, una línia de turisme de natura i una línia científica-tècnica. BioBal és el resultat de part del treball que s’ha realitzat en aquests anys: una plataforma online on mitjançant l’anàlisi de grans bases de dades de Biodiversitat, bibliogràfiques es pot extreure la informació existent a internet. Per altra banda el projecte es complementa amb la creació de noves bases de dades de registres de Biodiversitat generats a partir de la ciència ciutadana i la generació de recursos educatius adreçats a tots els nivells per tal de contribuir al coneixement de la Biodiversitat de les Illes Balears.

  At 2016 the University of the Balearic Islands and Red Eléctrica de España signed an agreement with the aim of creating a website about the Biodiversity of the Baelaric Islands. Although the first aim of the project was to create a tool to develope the tourism of nature, it changed into a new one with a wider scope. The aim expanded into three axes or acction lines: an educational line, a tourism of nature line, and a scientific-technical line. BioBal is the result of part of the work carried out these last years: an online platform where through the analysis of bigdata of Biodiversity and bibliographic databases can be obtained information from internet. On the other hand, the project is complemented with the creation of new databases of biodiversity records generated by the citizen science, as well as the creation of educational resources aimed to all the educational levels to contribute to the knowledge of the Biodiversity of the Balearic Islands.
