Resumen de El patrimoni Paleontològic del terme d’Algaida i de la comarca de Randa (Mallorca, Illes Balears): Catalogació, caracterització, valoració, gestió i divulgació

  The Paleontological heritage of the municipality of Algaida and of the Randa massif (Mallorca, Western Mediterranean) is cataloged, characterized and valued based on similar heritage studies of Mallorca. Paleontological sites (LIPS) are cataloged with pre- established criteria and valued on their intrinsic value (stratigraphic and taxonomic significance, extension, potential, etc.) and management value (accessibility, fragility, observation, vulnerability, studies, cultural and natural environment, didactic and tourist interest, etc.). The cataloging and valuation has been used to establish which is the most relevant Paleontological heritage of the Algaida- Randa region, the most useful and the one that shows more need for study, conservation and protection. The study has served to justify what heritage should be included in the catalogs of locally and regionally protection. The Palaeontological heritage has been related to the cultural heritage of Algaida- Randa region based on geological and cultural didactic activities and outings and based on the main legends related.

  Es cataloga, caracteritza i valora el patrimoni Paleontològic del municipi d’Algaida i del Massís de Randa (Mallorca, Mediterrani occidental) en base a estudis semblants realitzats a nivell de tot Mallorca. Els LIPs o indrets paleontològics de la comarca són catalogats amb criteris preestablerts i valorats en base al seu valor intrínsec (riquesa i significativitat estratigràfica i taxonòmica, extensió, potència, etc.) i de gestió (accessibilitat, fragilitat, condicions d’observació, vulnerabilitat, estudis, Entorn cultural i natural rellevant, interès, didàctic, turístic, etc). La catalogació i valoració realitzada ha servit per a catalogar el patrimoni Paleontològic més rellevant de la comarca, el més útil i el que mostra més necessitat d’estudi, conservació i protecció. L’estudi també ha servit per a justificar quin Patrimoni s’ha d’incloure en els catàlegs de protecció patrimonials tant a nivell local com regional. El patrimoni Paleontològic estudiat s’ha relacionat també amb el patrimoni cultural de la comarca en base a pràctiques i sortides didàctiques geològiques-culturals i a partir de l’important patrimoni Rondallístic associat.
