Resumen de El patrimoni Paleontològic del terme d’Andratx (Mallorca. Illes Balears): catalogació, caracterització, valoració, gestió i divulgació

  The paleontological heritage of the municipality of Andratx (Mallorca, Western Mediterranean) is cataloged, characterized and valued based on the criteria applied within studies of the paleontological heritage of Mallorca (Morey, 2018). The LIPs (Paleontological Sites) are selected with pre-established criteria and characterized and valued based on their intrinsic value (stratigraphic and taxonomic significance and wealth, extension, fossiliferous density, etc.) and management (state of conservation, vulnerability, studies, cultural and natural environment etc). The final palaeontological list comprises 27 LIPs of which the third part is of little relevance. The LIPs of Coll Andritxol, Cala Blanca, S'Arracó and St. Elm- Cala en Basset are considered frameworks for the Palaeontological heritage of Mallorca. The valuation carried out has been used to establish the most relevant Paleontological heritage of the municipality, the most useful and the one that shows more need for study, conservation and protection and/or proposed to be included in the check list of heritage protection, both locally as regional. The cultural heritage of the region associated to the Palaeontological heritage studied has been worked out in the form of geological practices, exits and legendary heritage related.

  Es cataloga, caracteritza i valora el patrimoni Paleontològic del municipi d’Andratx (Mallorca, Mediterrani occidental) a partir dels criteris aplicats en els estudis del patrimoni paleontològic de Mallorca (Morey, 2018). Els LIPs (Llocs d’Interès Paleontològics) del terme són seleccionats amb criteris preestablerts i caracteritzats i valorats en base al seu valor intrínsec (riquesa i significativitat estratigràfica i taxonòmica, extensió, densitat fossilífera, etc.) i de gestió (estat de conservació, vulnerabilitat, estudis, entorn cultural i natural, etc.). El catàleg definitiu comprèn 27 LIPs dels quals la tercera part són de poca rellevància. D’altres com Coll Andritxol, Cala Blanca, S’Arracó i St. Elm- Cala Basset són considerats referents per al patrimoni paleontològic de Mallorca. La catalogació i valoració realitzada ha servit per a establir el patrimoni paleontològic més rellevant del terme, el més útil i el que mostra més necessitat d’estudi, conservació i protecció i/o proposats per a ser inclosos en els catàlegs de protecció patrimonials tant a nivell local com regional. També s’ha treballat el patrimoni cultural associat al patrimoni paleontològic estudiat en forma de sortides i pràctiques geològiques i treballant el patrimoni rondallístic i llegendari relacionat.
