Percepciones de cubanos residentes en el exterior frente a la COVID-19

    RESUMEN: La llegada de la COVID 19 impactó nuestra cotidianidad. En el presente artículo se identifican percepciones de la valencia de la pandemia, durante el período de confinamiento. Se caracteriza la percepción de hechos y personas, con significación positiva y negativa, durante la COVID-19, por parte de 219 cubanos, entre 18 y 80 años, residentes en el exterior. El cuestionario fue colocado en Google forms, accediendo a él mediante un link enviado por invitación de WhatsApp. Los principales hallazgos muestran que fue un periodo de descubrimientos, no todos negativos, de los que podemos aprender, para potenciar el bienestar. Se evidencia el vínculo de la emigración cubana con los familiares en Cuba, y la presencia de Cuba en sus vidas cotidianas.

    ABSTRACT: The arrival of COVID 19 impacted our daily lives. The current article identify perceptions of the valence of the pandemic during the period of confinement. The perception of events and people is characterized, with positive and negative significance, during the COVID-19, by 219 Cubans between 18 and 80 years old, living abroad. The questionnaire was placed in Google forms, accessing it through a link sent by invitation of WhatsApp. The main findings show that it was a period of discoveries, not all negative, from which we can learn, to enhance well-being. The link of Cuban emigration with relatives in Cuba is evident, and the presence of Cuba in their daily lives.
