    El sistema de implantes dentales ITI® consiste en un tipo único de implante que se coloca en una sola intervención y que viene investigándose desde hace 20 años. La técnica, desarrollada por Schroeder y colab., fue ideada para simplificar la cirugía y la restauración del tratamiento inplantológico, tanto para el paciente como para el odontólogo. En el presente artículo describimos el sistema, sus ventajas sobre los sistema en dos tiempos, y sus indicaciones.

    The ITI® Dental Implant System is a unique, single-stage implant with research of 20 years duration. The technique, developed by Schroeder and coworkers, was designed to simplify the surgical and restorative aspects of implant therapy for both the patient and the clinician. This article describes the system, its advantages over two-stage systems, and indications for its use.
