This study addresses the reactivation of overlap syndrome (Rheumatoid Arthritis + Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) as a consequence of vaccination against COVID-19. The case of a 42-year-old patient with a history of autoimmune diseases is presented, who experienced severe joint symptoms after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. Despite being in remission prior to vaccination, the patient developed severe joint pain, myalgia, and functional limitation. Clinical investigations and analyzes were carried out, confirming the exacerbation of the autoimmune disease. The patient responded to treatment with corticosteroids, and her subsequent evolution was favorable. The importance of vaccination in patients with rheumatic diseases is discussed, highlighting the need for careful post-vaccination follow-up to identify and treat outbreaks of the disease.
