    El presente artículo ofrece una panorámica de la iglesia del antiguo monasterio de Santa Eufemia de Cozuelos (Palencia) entre finales del siglo XV y principios del siglo XVI a partir del análisis de los libros de visita de la Orden de Santiago, institución a la que pertenece: la descripción de los distintos espacios y las transformaciones que se dan o se han de realizar. Su metodología se basa en el examen de las fuentes documentales y bibliográficas que existen al respecto, destacando el recurso a la paleografía para la transcripción y edición de las primeras. La finalidad es la de contribuir al desarrollo de los estudios sobre la Orden de Santiago y, por consiguiente, de las Órdenes Militares, especialmente en lo que se refiere a la presencia femenina en éstas y la faceta religiosa.

    This study offers an overview of the church of the former monastery of Santa Eufemia de Cozuelos (Palencia) between the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries based on the analysis of the visitation books of the Order of Santiago, the institution to which it belonged. These include the description of the different spaces and the transformations that occur or were to be carried out. The methodology is based on the examination of documentary and bibliographical sources on the subject, highlighting the use of paleography for the transcription and edition of the records. The purpose is to contribute to the development of research on the Order of Santiago as a Military Order, and specifically, on the presence of women in them and their religious component.
