    This article aims to develop a dialogue between the literary classic by Albert Camus, with Philosophy and the recent global spread of the coronavirus. The text is organized in two broader moments. At first, it is a brief description of the book The Plague. In the second moment, an interpretative commentary is presented in light of the health crisis promoted by the global contagion of the coronavirus, considering an articulation between nature and culture. In this second moment, the aim is to defend the thesis according to which the virus is not only biological, that is, an originally natural event, but cultural, social, economic, and therefore essentially political.

    Este artigo tem como objetivo desenvolver um diálogo entre o clássico literário de Albert Camus, intitulado A Peste, com a Filosofia e a recente disseminação global do coronavírus. O texto está organizado em dois momentos mais amplos. A princípio, faz-se uma breve descrição do livro A Peste. No segundo momento, é apresentado um comentário interpretativo à luz da crise sanitária promovida pelo contágio global do coronavírus, considerando uma articulação entre natureza e cultura. Neste segundo momento, pretende-se defender a tese segundo a qual o vírus não é apenas biológico, ou seja, um evento originalmente natural, mas cultural, social, econômico e, portanto, essencialmente político.
