    Nosso objetivo é pensar o problema do cuidar a partir de reflexões que relacionam a fábula de Higino à noção de corpo próprio em Merleau-Ponty. Com base nessas reflexões, propomos pensar a saúde num campo de oscilações entre saúde funcional e saúde criativa. Esse texto foi escrito para fazer parte do dossiê da Revista Problemata em homenagem ao Dr. Edmilson Alves Azevedo, professor aposentado do Departamento de Filosofia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Tive a oportunidade de ser seu aluno no mestrado em filosofia da referida universidade e depois fui colega de trabalho dele no momento em que fomos juntos professores do mesmo programa. Espero que minhas reflexões, seguindo os passos de uma escrita ensaística, possam ser inspiradoras para se pensar o cuidar e a saúde à luz de Merleau-Ponty. Dedico esse texto ao professor Edmilson Alves Azevedo que, insistentemente, situava a prática do filosofar no contexto do pensar criativo para além das repetições academicistas.

    Our goal is to think about the problem of caring from reflections that relate Hyginus’ Fabulae to the notion of own body in Merleau-Ponty. Based on these reflections, we propose to think about health in a field of oscillations between functional health and creative health. This text was written to be part of the dossier of Revista Problemata in honor of Dr. Edmilson Alves Azevedo, retired professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Federal University of Paraíba. I had the opportunity to be his student in the philosophy master’s degree of that university and then I was his co-worker at the time we were both professors of the same program. I hope that my reflections, following the steps of an essay writing, can be inspiring to think about caring and health in the light of Merleau-Ponty. I dedicate this text to Professor Edmilson Alves Azevedo who insistently placed the practice of philosophizing in the context of creative thinking beyond academic repetitions.
