Las cuatro tablillas de Astorga reproducen cinco vías o itinerarios supuestamente romanos de la mitad occidental de la Península. Desde su primera publicación han sido estudiadas desde muy diversos puntos de vista, aunque los distintos autores no son concluyentes a la hora de confirmar su autenticidad. En esta nueva revisión se repasan los datos existentes en la bibliografía, no siempre ajustados a la realidad, aportándose otros no contemplados por los distintos autores con la esperanza de añadir otra visión sobre el tema.

The four Astorga wooden tablets show five supposedly Roman roads or itineraries in the western half of the Iberian Peninsula. Since their publication, they have been studied from many different perspectives, although the various authors are not conclusive when it comes to confirming their authenticity. In this new examination again reviews the library’s existing data– not always true to reality –with other data not yet taken into account by the authors, in the hope of understanding more on this subject.
