  • Resumen
    • On July 11, 2024, a single juvenile specimen of the little gulper shark Centrophorus uyato (Rafnesque, 1810) was caught by a commercial trawler of the coast of Silifke in the Gulf of Mersin (Northeastern Mediterranean Sea, Turkey) at a depth of about 568 m. All measurements, counts, and color descriptions of C. uyato agree with previous descriptions. This juvenile record is the frst evidence of C. uyato reported from the Gulf of Mersin (Northeastern Mediterranean Sea). This study also contributes to a better understanding of the distribution of small-sized deep-sea shark species.
