    En este artículo fijado definitivamente en 1940 el filósofo alemán trata de abrir y formular la pregunta por la esencia de la verdad. El medio utilizado para tal fin es la interpretación del conocido mito platónico de la caverna (Rep. 517b) donde Heidegger cree ver un cambio en la esencia de la verdad que produce el ocultamiento del sentido prístino de la misma, tal y como la entendían los griegos. Este hecho resulta fundamental para la historia humana y toca nuestro presente. Al mismo tiempo, se ofrece el camino para poder experimentar aquello que los griegos denominaron ἀ-λήθεια.

    In this article definitively set in 1940, the German philosopher tries to open and formulate the question about the essence of truth. The means used for this purpose is the interpretation of the well-known Platonic myth of the cave (Rep. 517b) where Heidegger believes he sees a change in the essence of the truth that produces the concealment of its pristine meaning, as understood by the greeks. This fact is fundamental to human history and touches our present. At the same time, the way is offered to be able to experience what the Greeks called ἀ-λήθεια.
