    Las relaciones raciales en Cuba demandan un acercamiento y revisión de los estudios realizados sobre dicho proceso como fenómeno social, político, cultural y económico. La necesidad de incursionar en la temática está motivada, entre otros elementos, por los escasos estudios previos, aunque ha habido un resurgir de los mismos desde fines de los años noventa del siglo pasado. A pesar de los logros que en este ámbito se han obtenido y del aumento de la actual producción científica y editorial del asunto, es necesario profundizar en las reflexiones sobre el tema

    The racial relations in Cuba demand an approach and review of the studies realized about this process as a social, political, cultural and economic phenomenon. The need to venture into the subject-matter is motivated by, among other things, the scarce previous studies, although there has been a resurgence of them since the end of the nineties of the last century. Despite the achievements that have been obtained in this field, and the increase of the current scientific and publishing production about the subject, it is necessary to deepen the reflections on the topic.
