La revista Contorno nace como el intento de un grupo de jóvenes intectuales de dar una respuesta a múltiples interrogantes que una coyuntura muy particular se plantea en Argentina y en el mundo a mediados del siglo XX. Había caído el primer peronismo, alumbra el proyecto desarrollista de Arturo Frondizi y en las universidades y en la sociedad emergen debates y disputas sobre nuevas y viejas ideas, que comienzan por la crítica literaria y desembocan en la lucha y el posicionamiento político.

The Contorno journal is born as the attempt of a group of young intellectuals to give an answer to the multiple questions that a very particular conjuncture arises in Argentina and in the world in the mid-twentieth Century.
The first Peronism had fallen, Arturo Frondizi’s developmental project lightens and, in the universities and in the society, debates and disputes emerge on new and old ideas which begin by the literary criticism and lead to the struggle and the political positioning.
